"InCAS swimmer Ailidh Brown enjoyed success at Saturday’s Heart of Midlothian Premier Age Group Meet on Saturday 13^th October. Ailidh picked up the trophy for top girl in the 12 year old age group to add to her collection on the day of three gold medals for 100m freestyle, 100m breaststroke and 100m backstroke and one silver medal for 100m butterfly.

Team-mates also in the medal stakes were Ashleigh Yates (12) who won bronze in the 100m backstroke and Lachlan Edwards (11) who won bronze in the 100m butterfly. Youngest team member, Tain Bruce (9), won gold in the 50m backstroke and silver in the 50m freestyle.

Also swimming well and picking up points for the small InCAS team were Amber McWhirter (12), Kayleigh Hutton (12) and Erin Brown (10)."

A very big thank you to all the parents and seniors who assisted poolside today with marshaling, time-keeping, running, door entry, tombola and cake & candy stall. Not forgetting the work done in advance by Shonagh and Lindsay Hutchison in preparing the programmes. Without this help from all of you, it would not have been possible to make this day a success. The final figure achieved for our fund raising today for the fruits of our labour will be calculated by Veronica and we will let you know soon.

Finally, an extra special thank you to Garrie and Susan for their dedication in coaching InCAS. Through their expert coaching, InCAS are achieving and achieving very well, Thank you both for all you hard work.

The InCAS October Training Camp to be held at HMS Caledonia will go ahead as advertised for 1st Week only (Monday 15th - Friday 19th October 2007).

Swimmers from DUNEDIN SWIM TEAM  will be joining InCAS for this event.

The following week we will offer training 2-4 tues - wed - and Friday. Timetable to be arranged. Susan Donnelly will be contacting squads by email with final timetable arrangements for second week.

October Holiday Training Schedule kicks in on Saturday 13th October 2007 until Saturday 27th October inclusive. All training will be held at HMS Caledonia. Valid passes will be required to gain access to this naval establishment.

Susan Gourley (Leah & Amy's mum) is collecting "Tesco Sports Vouchers"on behalf of InCAS. Whilst there is not much suitable in their catalogue for our direct swimming needs, we will use the vouchers together with our banked amount from last year to obtain items that can be used for generous raffle/tombola prizes and other fund raising ideas.

 Vouchers will be handed out against purchases at Tesco stores until 4th NOVEMBER 2007.

Thank you to Susan Gourley for all her efforts in organising and this collection.

Fauldhouse Penguins Gala(11th November 2007) has to be paid by SUNDAY 7th OCTOBER 2007. However, as the younger squads will not be in attendance in full over the weekend, you may wish to pay this on Thursday evening. Alan or Anja Saunders should be at the Wing in some form between 1800-2000 and will be accepting fees for this gala on Pauline's behalf. Please ensure that you have a note of you child's chosen swims, preferable written on the back of your cheque.

CARNEGIE POOL has been booked for Sunday 7th October 3.30pm - 5.30pm (note later start time due to pool party booking).

Training Amendments will again be in place for Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday 6th October : HMS Caledonia

All squads normally in attendance plus

Transition squad please attend 1300 -1400. 

Seals/dolphins squads please attend 

1300 -1500.

Adults please attend 1400-1500.

Sunday 7th October : CARNEGIE POOL

Only Squads from Youth upwards should attend training at Carnegie Leisure Centre Training Pool.

Youth Squads : 3.30pm-5.30pm.

Scottish Squads : 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

Training is on at the Wing for all squads scheduled to train there on a MONDAY evening.
