FINS GRADED MEET REPORT |
A handful
of Incas swimmers competed in the first competition of the season and
what a start they made.
The
Fins Graded Meet held at the Kirkcaldy swimming pool on Saturday/Sunday
21st and 22nd August saw Top InCAS swimmer 13
year old Conor Nally winning 4 Gold’s and a Bronze. Despite being out
of the water for nearly a full month this very competitive young man had
a superb weekend. Conor’s Gold’s came in the 50m Breaststroke in 40.68,
50m Butterfly - 33.27, 100m Breaststroke - 1.29.41 and 100m Individual
Medley - 1.18.92 with a Bronze in the 50m F/C - 31.10. All of Conor’s
swims were excellent PB’s.
Young 9
year old J.J.Moultrie-Waring swimming in the boys 11 and under age group
had an outstanding swim to win the Gold in the 100m Individual Medley in
an excellent PB time of 1.31.40. Young 11 year old Joe Nally also had
an excellent weekend with a Silver in the 50m F/C in 35.10 and a Bronze
in the 100m F/C - 1.19.77. Joe also won a 5th placed medal in
the 100m B/C in 1.31.73. All of Joe’s swims were PB’s.
15 year
old Kayleigh Hutton had a good weekend winning two Bronze medals in the
50m Breaststroke in 41.60 and 100m Breaststroke - 1.30.64. 13 year old
Gabby Gatherer won a 6th placed medal in the 100m Breaststroke
final. Altogether 5 Golds, 1 Silver, 4 Bronze, 11 Finalists and 11 PB’s.

League events. This years Geordie Wotherspoon Memorial Gala which is
specifically for novice swimmers is being held on 12 September

LONG COURSE TRAINING AT NSA, STIRLING
UNIVERSITY |
We have
secured a further block of training sessions running between September
to December at the National Swim Academy located at Stirling University.
The block is for 10 sessions all between 4.00 - 6.00pm. The sessions are
open to swimmers in the Youth squad and upwards and shall be restricted
to a maximum of 18 swimmers.

FIFE NOVICE & FIFE LEAGUE RESULTS 2010 |
After four
meets for both the Fife Novice and the Fife Leagues the results have
been compiled with some encouraging results for InCAS. Our Novice 9 and
Under Girls B Team won their group which is a fantastic result coming
top out of 15 teams in a highly competitive league. Our other teams also
finished in a credible fourth position. Our remaining Novice teams were
also well placed throughout the varying age groups and all swimmers have
done well in their first introduction to competitive swimming. Overall
very encouraging results that bear well for the future.
Not to
be outdone by their younger compatriots our swimmers in the Fife Leagues
also competed admirably achieving placings throughout despite the lesser
numbers and size of our Club. All in all, we are extremely proud of our
swimmers achievements.
