InCAS DISTANCE MEET |
On
behalf of all at InCAS we would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all
who have assisted over the course of the weekend during the Distance
Meet. The Meet has been a success and the list of people to thank is
endless. Suffice to say we could not have undertaken this huge event

InCAS DISTANCE MEET |
Good
Luck to all our swimmers who are competing this weekend in the InCAS
Distance Meet being held at Kirkcaldy Swimming Pool on Saturday and
Sunday, 1 and 2 May. Any Club members who are not involved are welcome
to attend to cheer on the swimmers or help assist run the event over the
course of the weekend. |

STIRLING LONG COURSE TRAINING |
We have
secured a further block of training sessions at Stirling National Swim
Academy located at Stirling University between September and December
2010. The block is for 10 sessions all running between 4.00 - 6.00pm.
The sessions are open to swimmers in Youth upwards, and shall be
restricted to a maximum of 18 swimmers to maintain quality and these
places shall be on a first come, first served basis.

HMS CALEDONIA UPDATE |
We have
been informed there is a strong possibility the pool at HMS Caledonia
may be available to recommence training sessions from Monday 3 May 2010.
We shall continue to monitor progress upon the installation of the
protective netting which is being erected this week. Please continue to
monitor this webpage for further information. |

FALKIRK OTTERS MEET REPORT |
Despite only
having a limited number of available swimmers through both illness and
Icelandic Ash, InCAS achieved fantastic results across the board at the
Falkirk Otters Age Groups Meet at Larkhall.
Notable mention
goes to 8 year old Harris Bruce, who achieved 4 Golds in 50m free, 50m
back, 50m fly and 50m breast, all of which were not only PB’s but also
smashed 4 Meet Records, a remarkable achievement for one so young. These
results ensured Harris secured the Top Boy Award.
Not
to be outdone, 9 year old JJ Moultrie Waring also achieved suitably
fantastic results in the older age group winning gold in the 50m fly
and 50m back, a silver in the 50m free and a 5th place in
the 50m breast. Again all PB’s.
In the girl’s
older age groups,10 year old Lauren Pirouet swam well to win gold in the
50m back, a silver in the 50m free, and also a 4th place in
the 50m fly event, and a 5th in 50m breast. All swims
obtaining PB’s. These results placed Lauren second in the Top Girl
Award.
The remaining
swimmers of Cara Smyth, Jack Harrison, Hayden Moffat and Rowan Ormiston
all swam equally well within a strong field of swimmers within the
Competition and all did themselves credit plus achieving a variety PB’s.
Well done to all. |

DISTANCE MEET - RAFFLE & TOMBOLA |
As part
of the Club fund raising effort, Angie Harrison is organising both a
raffle and a tombola for the weekend of the InCAS Distance Meet, 1 & 2
May at Kirkcaldy Pool. In order to ensure there are sufficient lures, we
ask if anyone has any donations these be given the Angie.
In
addition we may run a book stall alongside the tombola, and again ask if
you have any old books for donation please pass them to Angie.

Sharon
Milligan who runs the Swimshop has received the delivery of new stock
which includes the following items: Incas holdalls are priced £18
and backpacks at £16. She also has various sizes of swimsuits, trunks
and jammers in stock – prices are: swimsuits £15, jammers £15 (the
jammers are Speedo and better quality than the previous Maru brand), and
trunks £9-£11. Sharon has put aside bags for those who placed advance
orders however there are a few spare and shall be sold on a first
come first served. |
