HMS CALEDONIA TRAINING CANCELLED

We have been informed by staff at HMS Caledonia the pool is still closed due to plaster falling into the pool and at present is unlikely to re-open for training sessions on Thursday evening, and Saturday afternoon.

As such we invite all swimmers who normally attend the Cally on a Thursday evening to attend The Wing session from 6.00 – 8.00pm in lieu if their normal session at the Cally. All swimmers who swim at The Wing on Thursdays are requested to attend as normal.

For those who attend the Fife Performance Squad, you have the option of attending the training session this evening at Lochgelly High School between 4.30 – 6.30pm.

Unfortunately due to the late notice we are unlikely to secure an alternative training venue for Saturday, which is disappointing given the JAGS Gala on Sunday, therefore all swimmers competing in this Gala should make every effort to attend this evening’s session at The Wing.

We shall continue to monitor the situation at the Cally, and shall update you accordingly.

Apologies to all for this inconvenience.

INCAS DISTANCE MEET

A date for your swim diary. The hugely popular and successful InCAS Distance Meet has been confirmed as running on the 1 & 2 May 2010 at Fife Institute, Glenrothes. This is an ideal opportunity for our swimmers to obtain times for longer distances which rarely occur in the Swimming Calendar.

This is also an excellent opportunity in which the Club generates income upon which we rely however this is wholly reliant upon the support of all members of the Club to ensure the success of the event.
