ROTHERHAM METRO GALA, SHEFFIELD |
Once again the annual pilgrimage to Ponds Forge, Sheffield is in the
offering. The Meet is a major long course event within the swimming
calendar and is a valuable experience for all swimmers to introduce them
to the national stage by competing against Clubs from all other the UK.

PRESS RELEASE |
A number of young Incas swimmers competed in the
Livingston Development Swimming Gala on 23rd January at the Whitburn
Pool, West Lothian and what a show they put on. Four 1st places, two
seconds, ten top 6th places and a superb 30 PB's. Top Incas swimmer was
8yr old Harris Bruce who blew the opposition away with four 1st places
from four swims and four PB's in the boys 9yrs age group. Young ten
year old Rowan Ormiston had an excellent 50m F/C swim to finish in 2nd
place in a very good PB. The 6x25m relay team of Olivia Ballentyne,
Leighona Harper, Amy Hurst, Finlay Pearson, Cameron Pearson and Harris
Bruce came home with a Silver medal. Other swimmers who had an excellent
days competition in one of her first competitions were 8yr old Olivia
Ballentyne with two 4ths and four massive PB's, 8yr old Dana Brand with
a 5th place and three PB's,11yr old Kirsty Pearson 5th place and two
PB's, 8yr old Cara Smyth two PB's, 8yr old Zoe Nicholson one PB, Millie
Knox two PB's, 9yr old Amy Hurst three PB's and Kelsey Knox two PB's.
Meanwhile four Incas stalwarts competed in the Stirling Junior Open Meet
on Saturday and Sunday 23rd and 24th January which is one of the Top
level Competitions in Scotland. 11Yr old Tain Bruce had an excellent
weekend with a Silver in the 100m Butterfly in 1.17.31 and five 7th
places in the 100m B/C,100m Br,100m F/C,200m F/C and 100m IM all in PB's.
Morven Rae-Seaman had a good weekend with three very good PB's from
three swims as did 12yr old Conor Nally with three good PB's from three
swims.13 yr old Jennifer Milligan achieved two good PB's. |

shall cease with immediate effect due to the low attendance. We
trust all appreciate the decision to cancel these sessions which were in

CHANGING ROOMS ETIQUETTE |
It is regret we have been informed of two
separate incidents regarding the removal of swimmers clothing from the
changing rooms at both The Wing and also the Cally has occurred this
week. This has obviously caused the individuals concerned some distress.
We appreciate children may accidentally put clothing into their bags by
mistake and we ask should you find another persons clothing these items
be returned.
In
addition InCAS or the venue are not responsible for loss of valuables
from non-secure premises, and would therefore recommend all swimmers
place their clothing into their bags, and place poolside. It is also
recommended no valuable items are brought to training or gala events. |

shall be placing orders for InCAS Hoodies, Rucksacks and Holdalls in the
near future. Should you wish to place an order please contact Sharon who

other items for purchase ranging from InCAS swim caps to training
equipment. |

SUNDAY MORNING TRAINING AT THE WING |
A reminder to those eligible to swim at
the Sunday morning session held at The Wing from 9.00am. This is aimed
at the junior swimming squads and is in addition to the normal training
schedule. It is however imperative swimmers attend as should the numbers
remain low then this session may be cancelled. Should you require any
further information please do not hesitate to contact a member of the
Committee. |

training session is cancelled for which we can only apologize for the
