For
those of you who don't already know, the InCAS Distance Meet was by,
all accounts, a resounding success. Although our InCAS representation
was small in comparison to some other participating clubs, some truly
amazing results were achieved resulting in Top Girl Awards for Rachael
O'Donnell and Roisin Donnelly in their age groups, as well as a huge
collection of other medal achievements and PB's, placing InCAS 2nd overall,
behind City of Aberdeen Swim Team. A full report is being written by Head Coach,
Garrie Roberts and will be published as soon as possible.
The executive committee
were very pleased with the amount of parental help and support at this
years Distance Meet. It was a real team effort from all. Many positive
comments have since been received from not only other clubs but also
from the meet officials themselves. A huge thank you to all of you who
offered help with special thanks to Gill Morgan and Shonah &
Lindsay Hutchison for their many hours of hard work in the weeks
leading up to the meet to ensure we were as best prepared as possible
to make this meet a success. |

TIME-KEEPERS
REQUIRED
|
To
help keep our expenses to a minimum and therefore maximize our income
from the InCAS Distance Meet, 23/24 June 2007, we require as many Club
timer-keepers as possible. This event will involve the use of lap card
and bells, not normally seen at gala events. We propose to have a
trial run with these on Sunday 17th June, 1000am HMS Caledonia. If you
are able to attend, please confirm ASAP by email to incas@tesco.net
At the meet, you will not be asked to do this on your own. There will
be others with experience of distance meets with you. Training
will be cancelled over the Distance Meet weekend. This is a Club
gala and is our major source of income for the year. Apart from
time-keeping and STO's there is much to be done in the background
during the two day event to ensure that events run smoothly. If you
can assist in anyway whatsoever over that weekend, please make
yourself known to Gill Morgan, Alan Saunders, Garrie or Susan D.
InCAS swimmer's not participating in the event are welcome to attend
to support their team mates and assist poolside. Thank
you all once again in anticipation. |

his time and effort in making the flipper football game. Finally
spacial thanks to all the helpers who gave up their time to make this
work - Colin Wilson, Linda Rae, Susan Witton, Queenie Bruce, Susan
Gourley, Veronica MacMillan and anyone else that I have missed. |
