Tony Doubleday
(Head Coach)
Our Head Coach, Tony Doubleday,
has a wealth of experience as a Competitive Swimmer, Coach and Head Coach
over his extensive years of involvement within the sport.
Tony swam for some 16 years as a
competitive swimmer, achieving the title of Junior Champion of Great Britain
within his specialist events, the 100m and 200m freestyle. Tony’s swimming
career cumulated in representing Great Britain and was appointed as Captain
of the GB Swim Team for several International Competitions.
Following his successful
swimming career, Tony went on to achieve Coaching qualifications as an ASA
Teacher; ASA Preliminary Coach; and ASA Club Coach.
He has enjoyed a diverse
Coaching career over the years with a number of Clubs:

2 ½ years as Assistant Coach at
Carnegie SC;
·
2 ½ years as Head Coach of
Livingston Aquanauts;
·
Head Coach of Carnegie SC for a
period of 5 years;
·
Borders Council Sports Development
Head Coach for 4 years;
·
Pathway to Performance Area –
Glasgow Head Coach;
·
Flying Start Program – Borders
Area Head Coach for 3 years.
During this period Tony has
enjoyed success over many levels, and his achievements include:

Swimmers placed on Regional,
National and International Teams;
·
Swimmers placed on the Scottish
Youth Squad;
·
Swimmers placed in the Scottish
Institute of Sports Development Squad;
·
Swimmers consistently ranked as No
1 or within the Top 3 in the British Age Group Rankings over the past 10
years.
As Head Coach of InCAS Tony is
primarily responsible for the day to day Coaching Programme of all the
swimmers, and oversees all aspects of the Club’s training regime, and
swimmer development. Tony’s enthusiasm and expertise of swimming is abundant
and his passion for success is installed within his swimmers.
Our other coaches are Jenny Waring (Swim Teacher).
